Chase Elliott arrives at Daytona International Speedway for Preseason Thunder testing on Saturday, and according to NASCAR.com, a familiar face will be on track as well — his legendary father Bill Elliott.

The elder Elliott, 58, isn’t making a career comeback, but he’ll be dialing in Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s No. 88 Nationwide Series car.

Earnhardt’s schedule is chuck-full next week at Daytona, so he was unable to add a Nationwide test session to his slate. Luckily enough the 1988 NASCAR Sprint Cup champion was available.

Both Elliotts will be on track at the same time, and you’d imagine that father Bill will be interested in giving son Chase a class in drafting. Chase has yet to race at a restrictor plate track in his career.
