Is there any doubt that former Formula 1 Driver, Nelson Piquet Jr., has figured out this NASCAR thing? Friday at Texas Motor Speedway the Brazillian driver took home his third pole position of the 2012 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. He was also the only driver to break the 180-mile-per-hour bracket.
Points leader James Buescher who holds a 21 point lead over Ty Dillon with just two races remaining will roll off the grid from the second position at his hometrack.
Kyle Busch, Miguel Paludo and Joey Coulter rounded out the top-five fastest qualifiers for the 14th annual WinStar World Casino 350.
The man who is trying to catch James Buescher for the championship, Ty Dillon, will continue his quest for the championship from the ninth starting position Friday evening.
Other notables: Aric Almirola (7th), Parker Kligerman (10th), Matt Crafton (11th), Johnny Sauter (13th), Ron Hornaday Jr. (22nd). Failing to make the field were Chris Fontaine and Blake Koch.
